n our world today, everyone faces challenges and obstacles. Some more than others...People need support, guidance, information, or simply a chance to express their feelings. Some more than others...People can
take these personal challenges, confront them and create more fulfilled lives in mind, body, and spirit. Of course, some more than others.
Then there are jewels of humanity, who can take their life's challenges, rise above them, then help others do the same. These people, unfortunately, are few. So we cherish these rare
individuals because they make a difference in others lives. Now through a new radio program, the world can meet one of these jewels, Nicole Golden.
Motivational speaker Nicole Golden is the host of "Living In The Spirit of Love", the new program dedicated to encouraging positive thinking and self love. Her mission is to help
others love themselves regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion, or circumstances.
A Native of Camden, Golden has studied various spiritual practices and philosophies,
including Falun Gong, The Infinite Way, Science of Mind, Course in Miracles, Christianity and the power of positive thinking.
Golden hopes to use her personal experience to connect with listeners. Scheduled topics include: weight loss, body image, addiction, parenting, relationships, sexuality, and the
connection between mind, body and spirit. Golden herself has suffered from negative thinking and recognizes that it may stem from a childhood marked by divorce and household
instability. She has also ridden the emotional rollercoaster of weight loss, welfare and single parenting, which often led to feelings of inferiority. These obstacles inspired the creation of
the show not only to help in her self-love process, but to encourage otehrs to grow along with her.
The show is refreshing because Golden is not a "typical" television or radio personality. "I
have no TV or radio background," she says. "I'm simply a person with initiative and a story to tell." In addition to the programs, Golden is the author of two booklets, including "The Golden
Way to Weight Loss", focused on maintaining a positive attitude during the weight loss process. It includes affirmations, meditations and a list of constructive activities to replace
overeating. A companion CD is also included.
Golden is also at work on a book that explores recovery from addiction. Among the
contributors to that book are Professor Bart Hoebel of Princeton University, a pioneer in the study of sugar addiction.
In upcoming months, look for Golden to produce a quarterly newsletter and volume of poetry.
